ReceiptVault Privacy Policy

ReceiptVault is an offline receipt organizer. This policy explains how the app handles information on your device.

Summary

• ReceiptVault does not require an account.
• ReceiptVault does not use a cloud database or backend server.
• Receipt photos and expense details are stored locally on your phone.
• ReceiptVault does not sell your data.

Information the app stores

When you use ReceiptVault, the app may store the following data locally on your device:

• Receipt photos you take or choose from your gallery
• Expense type, date, amount, vendor name, and notes
• App metadata such as created and updated timestamps

Permissions

ReceiptVault may request access to:

• Camera: to take receipt photos
• Photos / media library: to choose existing receipt images

These permissions are used only for receipt capture and selection.

Sharing

If you use the Share feature, ReceiptVault uses your device's standard share menu to send receipt details and images to apps you choose, such as email or messaging apps. ReceiptVault does not control what happens after you share content with another app.

Data export

You can export receipt metadata to CSV and share that file using your device. Exported files remain under your control.

Data retention and deletion

Data remains on your device until you delete receipts in the app or uninstall ReceiptVault. Deleting a receipt removes its local database record and image file from app storage.

Children's privacy

ReceiptVault is not directed at children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted at this URL.
